School Policies & Guidelines

A shared framework for ensuring a safe, respectful, and effective learning environment for our entire community.

A Shared Commitment

Guidelines for Parents

  • To ensure a secure and focused learning environment, we invite parents to visit classrooms by appointment only. This minimizes disruption to valuable instruction time.
  • We encourage students to develop responsibility by carrying their own belongings. To maintain campus security, deliveries of forgotten items are not permitted during school hours.
  • Punctuality is a key life skill. Please ensure your child arrives on time for school and classes to start their day positively and ready to learn.
  • Early departure is granted only for emergencies with the Principal's prior approval. This policy is crucial for student safety and accountability.
  • Students should not bring valuable items to school. Mobile phones are permitted only with explicit, written permission from the class teacher for specific educational purposes.
  • A strong home-school partnership is vital. Please ensure your child dedicates adequate time to homework and comes prepared with the necessary books and materials each day.

Respect & Responsibility

Student Code of Conduct

  • Always wear the complete school uniform with pride and display your Student ID Card. This represents our unified school identity.
  • Arrive at school on time, demonstrating respect for your teachers and peers.
  • Use courteous and appropriate language in all interactions. A respectful tone fosters a positive community.
  • Uphold a culture of kindness and respect. Bullying, ragging, and violence have no place at SJ Gurukulam and will be addressed with serious consequences.
  • For the safety of our pedestrian-friendly campus, the use of private motorized vehicles within the school premises is strictly prohibited.
  • Maintain high standards of discipline at all times. The school is committed to providing a safe and orderly environment for everyone.

Punctuality & Presence

Attendance & Leave Policy

  • Consistent attendance is critical for academic success. Students must maintain a minimum of 80% attendance in each term.
  • If a student is absent due to illness, the parent/guardian must inform the class teacher or coordinator on the first day of absence.
  • All planned leaves must be requested in advance through an application in the school diary, signed by a parent.
  • A medical certificate from a registered practitioner is mandatory if a sick leave extends beyond two consecutive days.
  • A doctor's fitness certificate is required for a student to rejoin the school after recovering from any infectious or contagious disease.

Formal Procedures

Withdrawal Process

  • Parents must submit an application for a Transfer Certificate (TC) on the prescribed form available at the school office.
  • A TC will be issued only after all outstanding school fees and dues are cleared. Students withdrawing mid-session must pay the fees for the full term.
  • The Transfer Certificate (TC) will be issued within three working days of submitting the completed withdrawal form.
  • For students transferring from a school outside Uttar Pradesh, the TC must be countersigned by the educational authorities of the previous district.

Safe Journeys

Transportation Policy

  • The school provides an optional, safe, and reliable bus service. This service operates on optimized routes to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off.
  • Student safety is our top priority. Students must carry their ID cards, behave in a disciplined manner, and follow the instructions of the bus staff.
  • For all transport-related queries, changes, or concerns, parents must communicate directly with the School Administrative Office, not the bus staff.
  • Buses will stop only at designated points and cannot wait for latecomers. This ensures the schedule is maintained for all other students.
  • Discontinuation of the bus facility requires a three-month notice period or payment of the transport fee in lieu of notice.
